Genero: Post-Hardcore/ Screamo Lugar de origen: Raleigh, North Carolina, USA Descripcion de la banda: Alesana se formo en el 2004, el nombre de la banda es un derivado de Alice-anna, calle de Fells Point, barrio de Baltimore donde Shawn Milke y Patrick Thompson realizaban sus primeros ensayos. Cuentan con un demo, un EP, y tres discos. Recientemente se cambiaron de discografica, estaban en Fearless Records y en noviembre de 2010, se cambiaron a Epitaph Records. Integrada por: Shawn Milke (Voz), Deniss Lee (gritos), Patrick Thomson (guitarra), Alex Torres (guitarra), Shane Crump (bajo), Jeremy Bryan (bateria). La hermana de Shawn Milke, Melissa Milke, ha contribuido en la grabacion de los discos, haciendo los coros femeninos y algunas de las narraciones de el ultimo disco Emptiness. En lo personal, esta banda me gusta mucho, debo confesar que cuando los conoci no me gustaron por que muchos morritos de 15 años los amaban y estos estaban con su onda "emo", pero un buen dia, fui con un amigo a San Diego al Emptiness Tour, por que queria ver a A Skylti Drive, y cual fue mi sorpresa que Alesana toco de lo mejor y me dije a mi misma, por dios si esta banda es buenisima, son supertalentosos, no son lo que yo crei, y me puse a oirlos y ahora los tengo en mi lista de bandas favoritas :).
